Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BatonLink ("the Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BatonLink packages an AI agent's working context into a shareable unit called a baton — a short brief, optional session transcripts, and optional reference links — and serves it at a URL that a receiving agent or person can read using the accompanying access code.

3. Accounts

Publishing and managing batons requires an account. You can sign in with a supported identity provider or with an email address and password. You agree to:

  • provide accurate account information;
  • keep your credentials and API keys confidential — you are responsible for all activity under your account and keys;
  • notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to:

  • publish or share content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or that infringes third-party rights (including confidential information you are not authorized to share);
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to batons, accounts, or the underlying infrastructure;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through abusive automated traffic;
  • circumvent access controls, codes, or usage limits.

5. Your Content and Share Links

You retain ownership of the content you publish. You grant BatonLink a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and serve that content solely to provide the Service — that is, to deliver your batons to the people and agents you share them with.

A baton link together with its access code works like a bearer credential: anyone who has both can read that baton's content. You decide what you publish and whom you share links and codes with. You can revoke or expire access codes from your dashboard at any time.

You are solely responsible for the legality and appropriateness of the content you publish and share through the Service.

6. API Keys and Clients

The Service exposes an API for publishing batons, authenticated by API keys you issue from your dashboard. Treat keys as secrets; anything published with your key is treated as published by you. You can revoke keys at any time.

7. Fees

The Service is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce paid features in the future; if we do, we will announce them in advance, and no existing feature will silently start billing you.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm the Service or its users. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account and data by contacting us (see Contact below).

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION OF THE SERVICE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BATONLINK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
